Looking at the comparables - Bryzgalol was coming off a Cup win before signing his new contract and his 81CON is higher than any of the goalies mentioned. Leclaire is a bit worse comp in terms of attributes, but Ottawa was a much worse team than CBJ. Lehtonen was signed before EHEC's financial policy reform and would likely have gotten a raise if he didn't have a team option for next season (he's close to Varlamov attribute-wise and should be in the $4.25-$4.75 range). Ward was signed before the new policies as well, but I think $4.5M is actually higher than what he would get in arbitration (he's got a shaky EHEC playoff resume despite playing behind one of the best defenses in the league). I like the Ward comparison though. Ward and Rinne are identical in POT/CON and Ward has a trivial +2LE. Those are the only three attributes that really matter for a goalie. Statistically, Ward had a marginally better SV% and slightly higher game rating over Rinne.

I award Rinne $3.8M for the 2013-2014 season, taking into consideration that this is a one year deal. Rinne didn't have a great season, but still backstopped CBJ to the 7th seed without Nash/Backes. Next year can make or break whether he deserves Cam Ward money, or if he makes Adam lose his shit again.
