Re: Blues contracts
Also, Daniel Sedin has a franchise tag on him. He had it before i traded for his rights. Does this mean i have to do anything special with him when resigning him? Or does he now lose that tag?

Re: Blues contracts
He shouldn't have one. He doesn't have a no trade clause, and his contract appears to be the same as his brother's (which makes sense).Singin the BLUES wrote:Also, Daniel Sedin has a franchise tag on him. Re: Blues contracts
Kari Lehtonen arbitration
GM offers: 4.0M (3 yrs) Comps: Cam Ward, Rinne, Dipietro
Agent asks: 4.5M Comps: Cam Ward, Varlamov
Lehtonen is a definite 1A starter, and worthy of a higher salary than he currently makes. Cam Ward seems to be the consensus comparable goalie here. Dipietro doesn't really compare, due largely to his much lower con, and while Rinne does compare to Lehtonen, he too was asking for a pay raise. That Dallas chose not to match his request means that his current salary is not exactly comparable any longer. I'm inclined to split the difference here, and award 4.25 million.
Jim, please let us know asap if you accept or reject this award.

Re: Blues contracts
Ok We will accept this award, but can we change the years to 4 instead of 3?
