Good series Dave, never liked to see the Canes across the docket come playoff time.
Looking forward to Game 7 tomorrow! Who does everyone have? I am thinking upset despite picking Chi-town to win the series...

Any idea why the WC game reports are screwed up for the last few days?

Yeah, the schedule file has been dropping games lately. Is it worth it to fix the WJC? Does anyone really care? How about every EHM player in the WJC gets a +2 LE bonus and we go home.

But of course. Now, let's figure out the second round playoff matches. Let's start with Western Conference on Wednesday, shall we? Eastern starts on Thursday.

Playoffs are divisonal, yo. I'm stuck playing the Kings no matter what because we're both in the pacific. Edmonton is a wild card in the Central so if they win they'll play the Jets.

We could; it depends on whether we want a couple more non-game days now? Or later if our Finals end before the NHL does. We won't start our draft until the NHL does, so we'll have a little down time after the playoffs either way.MartyFromOTTAWA wrote:What about starting the second round when the NHL does?Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:Tampa Bay GM wrote:viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4340&p=37806&hilit=WJC+LE#p37806

Well, extra down time before NHL playoffs ends means trading can open up earlier before the draft starts. Also awards voting if I don't get around to that before the end of the playoffs.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:We could; it depends on whether we want a couple more non-game days now? Maybe 2 days between rounds?

Re: April 26, 2015
That was sort of my thinking originally. The more I ponder it, the more I want to move forward with our playoffs. So, like I posted earlier, Round 2, Western Conference starts Wednesday. Eastern Conference starts Thursday.Tampa Bay GM wrote:Ya, we didn't follow the NHL last year.SharksGM wrote:Well, extra down time before NHL playoffs ends means trading can open up earlier before the draft starts. Fri -- Dan
Sat-Mon -- Justin
Should Justin and I meet in the playoffs, we'll arrange something different. Ditto if Dan meets either of us.

Oh ok, i thought u guys never sim your own games in the series. I didn't realize this was already done tthis way in the 1st round.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:Tu-Th -- meMartyFromOTTAWA wrote:So how do u guys work? Dan Sims for the East, and Pat/Justin for the West?

Re: April 26, 2015
Traditionally, it wouldn't happen. However, that was when we had three dedicated simmers in different conferences.
With Bub and I in the same conference, and Dan solving the worlds problems half way around planet, it makes things more difficult. I've suggested guest simmers, but that increases the risk of game-file problems.
With no $ on the line, we are playing for honour. As bad as I want to win, cheating would take all the fun out of it.

I can do the East now, there are only two games per night. As long as nobody minds having lines in by let's say 8:30 EST and game posted by 9.
Re: April 26, 2015
Yah of course. Personally, I have no problem with that. But I know, by experience, that some GMs can be (very) suspicious about itTampa Bay GM wrote:With no $ on the line, we are playing for honour. As bad as I want to win, cheating would take all the fun out of it.

Dan, if it comes to pass, we'll most likely go to you to do a potential TB-NYR series.SharksGM wrote:I can do the East now, there are only two games per night. As long as nobody minds having lines in by let's say 8:30 EST and game posted by 9.
