Ok guys, still on the clock, and I'm open to move down. Offers?
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
I'm working on 3 offers right now. I should be ready soon.

Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
Welcome back, Adam!
I know it seems like everybody's trying to move up, but I've got a bunch of secound-round picks. I could trade two for a first-rounder.

You wanted to trade down from Connor?? Sheesh, I thought he should have been picked like 6 or so spots earlier.flyergp21 wrote:Ok guys, still on the clock, and I'm open to move down. Offers?
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
Well, I like him, he just doesn't have anything flashy, no wow factor.

Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
It's a great day for our beloved EHEC, Adam is back. Waking up to this kind of news is almost like waking up to a blowj... it's just a good feeling.
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
This. I really need to stop chasing the draft day highs, but Connor approaching the middle of the round was crazy.SharksGM wrote:You wanted to trade down from Connor?? I don't know about y'all, but I will probably leave and return to EHEC more times than all of us combined will wake up to a beej. We seem to be moving along nicely again. Great! Plus, Raymond (NJ) gave me a list for his first round, so hopes are high that yr commish will actually get to make his pick tonight...
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
I won't be making my pick before 4:30, just so you don't click Refresh every 5 minutes.
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
I'm pretty sure no one wants to move up in the draft anymore after this.

I dunno if this would have been a smart pick or not at 6, but if I kept the pick Kylington was going to be the guy I took.

Took us nearly two days to get the first round completed last year.
We've got 15 hours to get there this time around.

Was curious when the best booster of the class would go. Little surprised it's in the 1st but he could be real good.Virtual Jarmo (CBJ) wrote:The Columbus Blue Jackets are pleased to select, from the USNTDP, Jordan Greenway.

Welcome back, 'Lumbus.

The first round went pretty much as I expected, other than Connor's inexplicable drop and a couple of players going earlier than I expected.
e: oh, Knott dropped further than I thought too. I had him ranked alongside Pilon in the early-mid teens. Nuts to you, Hugo!

Takes a look at Dylan Larkin. Agrees with said proposal. Cries about trading twenty seven.SharksGM wrote:We should have a few rounds of "18+ growth spurt roulette" next year.Vik (Habs) wrote:He can grow a couple inches right?Vik (Habs) wrote:Based pretty much entirely on his being an actual center, the Montreal Canadiens select Fredrik Forsberg.

Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
Someone should trade a 2nd to Anaheim, Arizona, or New Jersey. That way, three teams would be picking half the 2nd round.
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
Sounds like a good idea, I have some guys on the block that could be worth a 2nd as well!!!

Man, I remember the bitching at the start over guys like Subban, Carlson, etc. 1.15b wasn't kind to those cats. But, hey, at least Connor Brickley was superhuman.GoJetsGo wrote:Takes a look at Dylan Larkin. Agrees with said proposal. Been doing some scouting of my 2nd rounder. Really great draft class, Pat. It was always monotonous for me to do the draft class, but I always enjoyed the challenge of making the puzzle and using all the pieces.
Top notch stuff, Bub. Very well done.

Just tried to remember that this was a deep draft, so you could find useful guys all up and down the draft boards. And have some fun with some POT boosters and some potential CON boosters as well.
It was a long slog making the draft. But one thing that helped A LOT was breaking it up by position. I did the top 20 or so guys, then just went and did all the defensemen next. It really helped me remember how I was trending the ratings downward as I went lower on the draft boards. Then goalies, then forwards.
Fun fact: I rated about 170 guys and went "Woo! I'm done! All five rounds done! Wait....how many rounds do we have again? Crap."

We need to change the time limit. Once logged in, 1h to make your pick. 12 hour is just ridiculously long for everyone.
I understand you are getting a lot of interest for your pick and you are waiting for the best offer, but if everyone does this, we will end the draft in 2 weeks.
