My Sabres lose an all important one, however both Montreal and Ottawa do the same, leaving things extremely tight for the final 2 spots in the East. In their Eastern Conference leading victory, Boston loses Meszaros for a month at the hands of Mike Grier, the Coyotes mudstomp LA as they gear up for the playoffs, Joe Thornton's hatty in the Sharks 7-1 win proves fruitless as Minnesota wins perhaps the most important game of the evening over Calgary, sealing that final playoff spot in the West.
