To Ottawa: Patrick Kane (82), TB's 2nd round pick in 2017
To Calgary: Ryan Strome (75), Colin White (69), Daniil Zharkov (57), Ottawa's 1st round pick in 2018
I could've only said ''Fuck Patrick Kane'' but I'm going to put a little more thoughts into it.
I've come to a point where I'm expecting Kane to carry this team and it's just not happening. I don't think a 59HI/59LE guy is actually able to be THAT guy. Of course he's going to shine in Ottawa but I just don't care about him anymore. He's a team-worst -24 and I'm starting to lose my mind waiting for him to be the guy I first thought I was getting last off season.
White and Strome are still pretty young and they are the kind of players that I enjoy. They can slot on either a Passing Plays or a Hit and Grind line and be effective. Strome has some penalty issues but he's a character player; EXACTLY what this lousy fucking team needs.
Zharkov's been a good player for Ottawa and I think he can be a very good 4th line player on a team that is going to roll all 4 lines.
Adding a 1st is always nice.

Welcome Kaner!
I always kind of disliked Strome since I HAD to acquire him in the deal that brang Hanifin to Ottawa so I won't miss him.
Yep, White is a better prototype of Strome but still, I won't miss him either.
Zharkov has been great for me but It might not be too hard to find someone who's gonna fill his shoes.
A 1st round pick is always tough to lose, but if that helps to grab a game breaker, I'll do it anytime.
Bottomline, my 1st and 2nd lines are much better, which makes the whole team much better.
Thanks JR
