2017 Entry Draft
League file here: http://www.ehechockey.com/ehec.zip
Players.ehm only: http://www.ehechockey.com/files/players.ehm
The 2017 EHEC draftees are ready, thanks also to Julien and Martin for the help. Come and get 'em. By my count, there are 179 eligible players, including a few handfuls of leftovers from last year. The draft will begin Soon (TM) so have a look while they're fresh. Remember, it's 5 rounds only.
As a bonus, you get players.ehm in a convenient spreadsheet for ranking draftees (which is how we rated them in the first place):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... ndiz8JSun8
The columns are all in the same order as players.ehm, with ratings, biographical info, names, ceilings and various miscellany last. Rows CO:DF have rough estimates of their final ratings taking into account pot, con, ceilings and height (but not position). I protected the sheet so if you want to change anything try duplicating it first.
Lastly, if anyone is reconsidering any pending trades that we haven't ruled on yet due to the recent announcements, now is the time to mention it. Otherwise, we'll be ruling on them before starting the draft.

Re: 2017 Entry Draft
Shawn Boudrias has the wrong birth date.
Victor Ejdsell and Calle Rosen probably shouldn't be in the draft based on their age though I don't know that it really matters.

Re: 2017 Entry Draft
I have 187 players when looking through GMO-view draft prospect.

Hmm, Pat must have entered that so I never noticed. I'll replace him with another college/free agent after the draft because he looks terrible IRL.Vik (Habs) wrote:Shawn Boudrias has the wrong birth date.
They'll be UFAs and I'll add more Euro/college free agents after the draft.Vik (Habs) wrote:Victor Ejdsell and Calle Rosen probably shouldn't be in the draft based on their age though I don't know that it really matters.
Also, don't get too excited about the few defensemen with forward alternate positions - they weren't meant to be there and will be removed.

Soon (TM), meaning next weekend at the earliest. It would be nice to find a new GM for Florida at least what with having a top 5 pick.Bernyhawks wrote:When will the draft start?

I just posted at HockeyVirtuel (they don't like me because I'm not french, even though my last name is) and GMGames.org.
Someone already beat me to it at HFBoards.
Most recent file here.

I can translate to french whatever you want to tell those guys so that you could be seen as one of them.Tampa Bay GM wrote:Is this your way of telling me to get off my ass?SharksGM wrote:Soon (TM), meaning next weekend at the earliest. Infiltrate their ranks, JC. Do it.
Re: 2017 Entry Draft
Is there a master list of all draft picks out there? I have no idea what kind of inventory the previous GM had for this year or next.

Re: 2017 Entry Draft
Two things...
1- Teams who have one of their picks timed out will be auto'ed (no goalies) the rest of the way unless told otherwise by the GM.
2- Unlike past seasons, our final list has been made public and that's the order we'll be at when auto-picking for teams. You guys won't need us to be around if a pick has timed out, you'll be able to make the auto selection following the list and keep things running.

I used combine weights/heights and may have rounded up an inch for a few prospects to make them slightly more interesting.

Re: 2017 Entry Draft
I posted it on the draft forum. Everything looked ok except I swapped NJ & EDM picks in rounds 2-5 (EDM finished with 31 ROW vs 30 for NJ so NJ "wins" the tiebreaker).
