If he had ever boosted he would have been great, but the odds of that now are slim to none. Sambrook has 70 HI (79 ceiling) but otherwise is lacklustre and would barely scrape my AHL roster. Dallas will probably hope he boosts or someone buys high on him when he gets to 79 HI, but I'll take the contract spot.

I don't expect Sambrook to boost, but I see him as a good young depth defenseman - better than I see available in this UFA so I better take him than any other guy (young D) from the UFA right now.
