Tomorrow (Monday) is the last day of the regular season. We have two teams with inactive GMs locked into playoff spots (Arizona and NYR). Does anyone currently managing a non-playoff team want to take one of them over in the interim? Otherwise, I'll make lines for the Rangers and Justin will take the 'Yotes.
Reminder - there is no salary cap or roster limit in the playoffs. Playoff teams still need enough players to fill out AHL lines, though, so don't go recalling everyone from the farm.
Technically, the NHL doesn't actually forbid trades after the trade deadline, it's just that players traded afterwards aren't eligible to play in the playoffs. We've stuck to not entering trades during the playoffs partly to keep the focus on the games and because you can't enter them in EHM, but I know things can start to get dull for non-playoff teams with nothing to do. So I propose that we have the draft lottery after the end of the first playoff round, and then allow minor trades once the second round is over for those with itchy trigger fingers. Sounds good?

Re: Playoffs
Sounds good - I'll check in with Andrew to see if he's still interested. My guess is the work/uni life balance.

Re: Playoffs
Since Justin can't do Saturday, we'll be starting the playoffs with the Western Game Ones on Friday. I'll update the file tomorrow.
