NYR accept. I couldn't turn down Nash when it worked out, but it meant I was just up to/over the cap. So that means the bottom pairings need to get cheaper. These players all do that, and Subban can get a reasonable Qualifying Offer. Merkley and Bristedt are solid, but again, money-wise they are causalities and I want guys like Kreider/Archibald on my bottom. 4th for 5th to even out what it's all worth.

I did this trade because I wanted to bring in a nice prospect that I feel had potential to be a great player in years to come for the flyers. I also upgraded Kreider to Bristedt as I take on a little cap, but I think it was worth it as I have room.
