Schedule & Results, League File

Christ, that sim was a slog. Please, guys, get your rosters and lines in shape if you haven't already. I had to make some waivers and demotions for teams that weren't ready for game one and a few sets of lines (pro and even more farm) as well.

The most notable result is the Isles scoring a tying goal with a second left, only to lose on the second shot of overtime. Such is life. Still no ties yet this season.

Waivers, already announced and otherwise:

Ah, sorry for my part, I had erroneously assumed Klein would go direct to the AHL, since he was on Colorado's AHL team, and didn't think I'd need to make any roster changes.

As per a possibly still-unwritten rule, players already in the AHL don't have to go through waivers again, but since we trade players in-game they always get promoted. Chances are I won't remember to demote them myself after trading.

Anyway, I recalled Sbisa and put Brooks and Klein in the AHL for cap purposes, since they're consequential this early in the season.

I know it's only Detroit (sorry Kevin) but a hell of a start for the boys with a shutout. Campbell gets caved in against his old team. Barbashev shows he's worthy of the top line with three apples. Marner in good form. That'll do.
The Colorado Avalanche - missing the playoffs every year since EHEC began UNTIL NOW! PLAN THE PARADE BABY
