Alright, as you may have gathered from my posts on the subject and the sims being posted by new simmers, I had about enough of flying solo by the new year and decided to recruit some help. So, as of last week, we now have new simmers and a new trade committee.
The sim schedule we simmers (myself, Kevin - DET, Chris - NYI, Nicholas - NYR) will attempt to follow is:
Mon: NYI, Tue: NYR, Wed: NYI, Thu: SJ, Fri: DET, Sat: NYR, Sun: DET
I will update cap numbers as usual, and will step in if the regular simmer can't make it. We'll deal with playoffs when they come but with two simmers per conference, it shouldn't be an issue. Since we're switching simmers every day, it's imperative to post instructions (trades, waiver claims, etc) in the appropriate thread and post a reminder if something gets missed. Instructions emailed or PM'ed to me alone won't help (not that anyone does this regularly, but just to be clear).
Next, trade rulings will be made by the new trade committee: Marty (OTT), Josh (COL), and Nicholas (NYR). Kevin (DET) will rule on trades involving those three teams, and I'll weigh in only if necessary. For now, the guidelines will be similar to what they were in the past - accepting by default as long as the trade is well-justified, not obviously lopsided, and doesn't put one team way over the cap - but hopefully over time (and before this year's deadline) we'll clarify the criteria in a less unwritten form than the current one.
A pre-emptive thanks to everyone who volunteered to help. Any questions?

Yes. Will you allow me to push through a couple really lopsided trades so my team doesn't suck so bad?

Yeah, I think Florida could really use Kassian for their playoff run

Sure. How about a half-dozen blockbuster trades with increasingly elaborate conditions to review?
Mostly a terrible PK, which you could probably improve by putting Hischier at RW (since the RW takes faceoffs, not LW) and not using the Aggressive setting.
I would consider minor deals of AHL fodder, but I think there's still an issue of conflict of interest for major deals.Arizona - interim wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 2:27 pm Now that there's a trade review committee, can I trade with Tampa Bay?
