Homepage, Schedule & Results, League Save File
It's been a long week, I have felt like it was Thursday for the last three days and on multiple times today forgot/remembered I had to do the sim. So one thing I will note, because I think multiple teams may have had their lines this way (and it's a mistake I accidentally made last weekend) - step 5 in the sim procedure is activate day-to-day players, step 6 is advance to next day. In other words, if a player has 1 week left before the sim but day-to-day on sim day, I'm not reactivating them from the IR ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, the Islanders out shot Boston 34-18 and outscored them 3-1, despite Boston getting the only powerplay goal and stopping 11 New York powerplay shots.
The famous Battle of Teams With Six Digit Names Beginning With S looked an even affair with the Sabres outshooting the Sharks by just two shots. Unfortunately, the Sharks couldn't score on any of their 24 attempts while the Sabres put up 3 goals (they also had 8 powerplays)
The score was then repeated in the next game as the Kings snuffed the Flames in a game featuring 7 fights and 9 game misconducts.
Despite their GM being halfway across the world without wifi, the Sens thumped the Rangers 6-2 in the battle of McDavid and Eichel.
Current Winnipeg beat old Winnipeg 3-2 in a game that only featured three powerplays but also 4 Gudbranson penalties (one fight and three offsetting roughings).
The Wild scored with 11 seconds left in the game to make it 4-3, but unfortunately for them they lost 4-3 to the Blues.
Toronto goalie Taylor Gauthier was directly involved in six goals - the good news for him is that one of those was an assist, the bad news is the Flyers won 5-3.
And finally the Panthers' Andrei Kostitsyn scored with 1:29 left to even the score at 2-2, but the Capitals' offensive dynamo Cody Ceci scored with 36 seconds left in overtime, just 26 seconds after 6'4" Joseph Labate fought 6'7" Nikita Tryamkin (why were either on the ice in OT?).

Re: December 16, 2021
What Toronto meant to say was
"Hey, thanks so much for doing another sim! I know they take a chunk of time out of your day. I see my lines were off, do you remember why? If not, no big deal! It's just one game in a fake fantasy sim league!"

EHM is just trolling me at this point.
Uh, sorry that's not correct. If you can't confirm lines the day before, you should do so on game day, even if that means activating a DtD player. I'll amend the instructions to say that.DetroitGM wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 2:07 am So one thing I will note, because I think multiple teams may have had their lines this way (and it's a mistake I accidentally made last weekend) - step 5 in the sim procedure is activate day-to-day players, step 6 is advance to next day. Hate to correct you, but those would be six-letter names rather than digits.
Props to Kostitsyn for at least getting FLA a point. Turns out he's good for more than just breaking curfew in Phoenix. Tryamkin was out there in OT because him and Saveliev are the Bash Brothers 2.0.

Re: December 16, 2021
Apologies, I evidently misinterpreted the sim procedure, as per Dan's post. Because that misinterpretation left you with 5 defencemen, I called up and subbed in your best available from the AHL (Luke Hughes, who it appears had an average game, but at least scored his first goal?).
