Good morning from Cairo! Please keep that in mind if I missed entering something - I mean, how long ago was 48 hours anyway?

Also, speaking of being in Cairo, going to do one-sentence write ups;
  • Edmonton outshot Buffalo 36-17 and outscored them 5-2.
  • Nashville and Dallas had no fights but combined for 12 roughing penalties in a 4-3 Nashville win.
  • Gabriel Sylvestre succeeded in his attempt to injure David Backes (out 3 weeks, so 3 games for Sylvestre) in Arizona's 3-1 victory over Anaheim.
  • Four Penguins had two points each in their 6-1 defeat of Columbus.
  • Sebastien Wannstrom escaped suspension despite receiving 5min for spearing an unknown player with just over 4min remaining in the Blues' 5-1 loss to the Blackhawks.
  • The Lightning absolutely demolished Boston's Cam Ward, who managed just 17 saves on 24 shots.
  • Barkov scored with 1:04 remaining and the goalie pulled before Galchenyuk won it in overtime as part of Toronto's come-from-behind 5-4 win over Carolina.
  • K'Andre Miller had two goals and an assist in the third period, leading Vancouver to a 5-3 victory over the Flyers.
  • I can't find anything that stands out in Montreal's 5-1 defeat of Washington.

Whoa, major props for simming from Egypt. Hope the trip is going well. How are you at hieroglyphics?

Trip's good, fairly relaxing, weather's nice, etc. I'm pretty bad at hieroglyphs, but more importantly I'm bad at Arabic - luckily I have some translators/guides (specifically my partner and her father).

As for visiting, disarray is a strong word - like, it's not in a great situation (politically and financially), but it's pretty safe for tourists - the country relies on / is desperate for tourism money, so there is security everywhere. It's definitely easier with a friend/whatever who speaks Arabic, but if you did a Nile Cruise (for example) or stuck to tourist-heavy areas, you wouldn't even really need an Arabic speaker. The most dangerous thing you'll have to deal with is the traffic (don't even think of renting a car unless you've driven in a place like Egypt, maybe India, etc? Hire a driver or take cabs everywhere. And if you're going to walk across the street, find a local who is crossing and follow them! :lol: )
