Sacrificing a young player + a pick for what could turn out to be 2 rentals, but let's get that 2nd Stanley Cup!

As mentioned, if I re-sign one of the two players, Buffalo gets a 1st instead.

Minnesota uses its last retention spot available this season to absorb half of Gaborik's remaining salary, which should be just under 2M. He gets a 3rd for his generosity.

Sabres accepts, Gabo will win SC , And its not possible in Buffalo , so I give him chance in Edmontons team. Forbort can go as everyone from BUF .

Fredrik ( Foppa ) Forsberg is younger as Marian Gabo , so for next year can him replace.

Pick is future, but 1st is much better .. we must wait , maybe comes

For the record, I still dislike these kinds of trades, but I did say this:

Flow-through trades or whatever: If you can convince me that they are "normal" three-way trades, and can be entered in-game via three transactions between each pair of teams in a specific order, then fine. I don't want to think about this too hard.

It's clearly not really a three-way trade because MIN isn't keeping anything from BUF. But I could enter it in three individually terrible-looking trades:

Gaborik to MIN, 5th MIN 2022 to BUF
Forbort + 5th MIN 2022 to EDM, Forsberg + EDM 2nd 2024 to BUF
Gaborik to EDM, 3rd EDM 2023 + 5th MIN 2022 to MIN

You could make it a "real" three-way trade by adding some more irrelevant 5th rounders or whatever, but that would just waste everyone's time and not actually make it any easier to enter, so fine, whatever, carry on.
