Homepage, Schedule & Results, League Save File

Who doesn't love game 6 as a neutral, when every series could end or result in the drama of a game 7.

To begin the, uh, morning, despite LA opening the scoring, Chicago roared back in the second and third periods to force game 7 via a 5-2 victory.

Winnipeg was, sad to say, not so lucky, as they gave up 3 goals in the middle of the first period, then when they started to give themselves some hope barely a minute into the third, they quickly crumbled and gave up 3 more.

The Tkachuk brothers both scored powerplay goals in the third period, but luckily for Brady, the Sharks also had two first period goals, while Nedeljkovic made 19 saves to keep the Sharks' alive.

Steve Mason had a mediocre game, giving up 3 goals on 25 shots, but his blushes were saved by the fact that Devan Dubnyk allowed 6 goals on the same number of shots.

So we have two game 7s in the west, LA-Chi and Edm-SJ, while Dallas and Anaheim move on.

Also Colorado will be happy to hear I finally remembered they wanted extra practices and the coach thinks it was good enough to shake some players :P

Dang! CHI looking to pull off a huge upset (though less so than East one would be, considering all teams in the West that made it were good.)

Congrats to ANA and DAL - who are just looking studly atm. They join MTL who just cruised. I won't short change MTL again on the podcast 8-)

Good luck to LA/CHI and SJ/EDM in game 7. Let's see if any of us join you after tonight (I won't be).

Alright, that's our fourth game 7 in a row. If history is any indication, one of the teams will win it.

2021 4-3 vs LA (6-3 game 7), 3-4 vs CHI (4-2 game 7)
2020 4-2 vs LA (4-2 game 6), 3-4 vs DAL (4-3 OT game 7, still fucking salty about five fucking minor penalties in a row in the third period)

I think I need to fire my special teams coaches. SJ PP: 1 of 5 (1 shots). 5:24 5v4 and 1:42 5v3 and one entire shot to show for it. I guess it was a good one, but I'd bet the PK had at least at many shots.

As long as this doesn't end up being a repeat of their last 1st OA pick
