Coach Dan Bylsma thinks that the extra practise did little to improve the motivation of the team.

He was right.

Once again, the Dallas powerplay stunk (they had no powerplays in game one, but in the last 4 games, the Stars scored 2 goals on 21 powerplays, during which they also managed 51 shots), but once again, it did not matter. They gave up the opening goal, but tied it in the second and pulled away with goals in the 41st and 43rd minutes.

And so they move on to face the Ducks in the conference finals.
