The Sens go down early thanks to two goals from the reliable Russians Kostin and Ovechkin, sandwiching a reply from the suddenly awakened Logan Couture. A barrage of shots to open the third earns them their first lead of the game (thanks again, Logan), and a late insurance marker from Slepyshev proves necessary as Ovechkin replies with just over a minute to go (presumably with the goalie pulled) to keep things spicy. Jaro Halak shuts (not shits, autocorrect) the door to earn the Sens a split at home and a tied series.

Also worth noting is the continued trend of insane PK stats, as the Sens put up 19 shots on 6 minor penalties while the Habs didn't provoke a single non-offsetting infraction while outshooting the Sens 19-14 outside the PK.
