EHM shoots a bunch of knucklepucks tonight. First, the Stars go up 3-0 thanks to a bunch of Russians mostly (except Kaliyev's American), including a shorthanded goal from noted defensive forward Evgeni Malkin (?), and also thanks to a couple of nifty passes from Charlie McAvoy.

Then all hell breaks loose. Teuvo Teravainen opens up scoring for the Ducks just after the midway point of the game. Brent Seabrook sc... no, actually, he picks out one of those dang Russkies on the other side, and destroy Alexander Dergachyov's knee, knocking him out for a whopping 11 months. So on one hand, Seabrook makes the most of his 25-game suspension. On the other, it seems like he can't tell Russians apart, because seriously, Dergachyov?

Anyway, another Russian scores 4:54 later - this time Karpukhin for the Ducks, which by my math makes it a shorthanded goal, but EHM marked it as not? Do major penalties not count?? Then Kieffer Bellows ties it up with the goalie pulled and the Ducks correct their mistake from the other night by scoring on the first shot of overtime. And we kind of have a series now! Well, without Seabrook, anyway. Oh, and he had a 9 rating, tops on the Ducks.

I missed this tidbit the other day:
2-6-2022 Chet Pickard frustrated
Ottawa Senators goaltender Chet Pickard feels frustrated about his position in the organization. He feels he's good enough to be a franchise player for the team and wonders why the organization still considers him a core player.
