Rangers accept. Bittersweet as Novak was the first big trade I made and he's been a solid player for us. But Tkachuk, despite costing me more than a million more, brings two things I need: better shot; and ability to play both wings. The additional cost to upgrade is Poitras, a solid boost-prospect taken in the 2nd last year. If he boosts he's a decent OFF player himself, but you gotta pay to get.

Confirmed. Clearing a bit more cap space, but more importantly adding a top 6 centre, which Edmonton currently doesn't have.
