Bern's been asking about Kempe for at least two years (seriously, I skimmed our forum and discord DMs, it goes back as far as November 21, 2021 ), and I finally started to cave this year, after my poor start - but I made clear (to him and others) that I wanted a 1st, which this gets, even if it's a bit farther down the line than I would have liked.

I had not been planning to move Jensen, but when he suggested JVR... I said, what the hell, why not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He's not that old, so I can either keep him as part of a retool or trade him for $$$

Indeed I’ve always wanted Kempe since he was signed by Detroit at a nice contract. High CON, good leadership and well rounded game.

Jensen/JVR swap allows me to have a bit of room if opportunity comes as deadline approaches.
