Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals starts with the hometown Sharks scoring 4:11 into the opening frame. Unfortunately for the local fans, they proceed to spend the following 8 minutes watching the Wild score 4 straight goals, taking a 4-1 lead that remains the status quo through the end of the second period. The start of the third sees Minny adding a 5th tally, before the Sharks start a scoring run of their own. The hometown team manages to claw back 3 goals, but can't find the final tying score. The Wild take game 1 with a final score of 5-4, and with it home ice advantage.

If you told me the Alex/Alexis would have 0g0a and Tarasenko had a goal, I'da guessed this one went the other way. Though 5-4 is a close one, I expect this series to go deep! MIN with a Conference Final game win after going all but the FIRST year without qualifying. Dang

Had practically forgotten we have a second line. Well, sweep is off the table, so that's nice.

Love EHM coaches who watch their starter give up 4 straight goals in 7 minutes and just give them a thumbs up from the bench.
Also 3 unassisted goals, wtf?
