Isles start game 6 strong with Adam Fantilli's 1st goal at 1:11 of the 1st for a 1-0 lead. Toews ties it up for the Bolts just before the halfway mark of the 2nd, but another young gun strikes as Simon Nemec restores the Isles lead a few minutes later. Unfortunately, that was about as good as it got for the NYI faithful, as John Moore took a hooking call a minute into the third period, Mirko Hoefflin scored a Rare (Second Unit) Powerplay Goal to tie up, and then Phil the Thrill potted the eventual game-winner just before the 47 minute mark. This New York team managed to pull their goalie, but Zack Kassian iced it into the empty net. With a 30-22 edge in shots, TB closes out the series on the road in convincing fashion (shoes, pants, shirt, the whole 9 yards of cloth).

Over in Steeltown USA, the Pens also get on the board quickly with Taylor Raddysh scoring before the 3 minute mark. Mikko Ranten would even it up later in the period. Unfortunately for the Rangers, that's as close as it got, with noted snipers Tobias Tornkvist and Tyler Boucher potting the game-winner and insurance marker in the 2nd. A couple of NYR powerplays in the 3rd yielded 2 fruitless shots on goal and coach decided not to pull the goalie again, plus Casey Mittelstadt ended up taking a penalty with 30 seconds left. But never mind that! We have a 3-3 tied series and a game 7 on Monday.

Lastly and mostly, Canada's team (the Toronto Maple Leafs) dumpstered the Habs in front of a shocked Centre Bell Centre crowd. Patty Laine and Ryan Nuge each potted a pair, and James Greenway produced a goal to offset the lone Montreal marker from Rodion Amirov. Thus, we have a second tied series and upcoming game 7. Also, this was quite the momentum-shifting game:

Notes for Montreal Canadiens:
-Kirby Dach had his 8 game point streak snapped.
-Alexander Ovechkin had his 4 game point streak snapped.

Notes for Toronto Maple Leafs:
-Oliver Kapanen finally ended his 17 game point drought.
-Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ended his 5 game goal drought.
-Erik Johnson finally ended his 13 game point drought.
-James Greenway finally ended his 22 game goal drought.
-James Greenway finally ended his 11 game point drought.
