Two 4-3 games, like any regular season night.

Over in PIT, Raddysh opens scoring for the Pens early on, and they manage to hold the lead through 25 minutes until McJesus ties it with his.. only third? goal of the playoffs. The Pens regain the lead but blow it again early in the third, before Anton Slepyshev - freshly returned from his 25-game suspension - scores his first to give the Sens their second lead. The mysterious Prokhor Poltapov manages to tie it up once more, but McDavid sets up the glad-to-not-be-healthy-scratched-or-buried-on-the-farm Cole Sillinger for his 5th of the playoffs, and that's all she wrote. Also the Pens evidently couldn't or wouldn't pull their goalie for even 30s.OTT now leads 3-1.

Over in TOR, the visiting Bolts jump to an early 2-goal lead and maintain it through 28 minutes. However, the Leafs claw their way back with a Rare Powerplay Goal, followed by Luke Hughes' first of the playoffs, and then a Jake Sanderson blast midway through the third for their one and only lead of the game. Unfortunately for the Leafs (we say this a lot), Evgeny Kuznetsov ties it up before the Bolts have to resort to pulling the goalie, and the game heads to OT. There, a rare penalty call leads to an Even Rarer Overtime Powerplay Goal by Mirko Hoefflin, on the not-so-rare second shot of the frame (both by TB). TB regains home ice and ties up the series 2-2.
