We are here to start the WCF. It's Dan and the SJS. One time cup winner. OG owner. Insane failure from last year. It's Kevin and the DET. Zero time cup winner. Insane failure from his entire time as an owner, but now, finally, President's Trophy Winner and reverse-sweep-completionist. Both teams and owners are clearly better than me and the Rangers. How will game one turn out? Will the Sharks benefit from the long break? Will the Wangs benefit from the insane finality from the last round? Let's see...

Not sure how to describe this one in total. DET is the home team, again, the best in the regular season. But it's SJ getting a... 5-0 head start, 2 in the first, 2 in the second, and a few trades in the third. Askarov earns his Third (?!?!?) star status, as the only 10-rating along with Mr. Kopitar who had 2 goals himself. Detroit outshout the Sharks 28-22, but will need to up that xG and toughness component if they want to last here. SJ on the other hand is happy to find the following:
-Colin White ends 5 game pt streak
-Kopitar ends 7 game goal drought (spectacularly)
-Tkachuk 5 game pt streak ended
-Kane 6 game goal drought ended
-Jacobs (?!) 9 game goal drought ended

Thanks, this is getting the boys pumped up for the rest of the series. Save some goals for games 2+ tho.

Props to Scott Morrow's 3A +4 in 29:10 and no star too.
