We turn to the ECF where the Lightning have returned to OTT for game 5 and its time for a best-of-3 in the East too for a chance at Lord Stanley's hallowed cup.

PERIOD 1:
OTT and TBL exchange blows early, with Max Jones for OTT just over 2.5 minutes in, and Sid the (much older) Kid just over 8 minutes. It ends 1-1 after 1, despite TB having 3 powerplays.

PERIOD 2:
After weathering the storm that was the first, OTT gets shelled, as TB puts up 17 shots in the 2nd. But it's ONLY Raphy Lavoie who scores, and on the powerplay no less, meaning OTT is now up 2-1, despite arguably TB playing superior hockey thus far.

PERIOD 3:
Both teams grip their sticks pretty tight, but disaster strikes 5 minutes in as Toews scores to tie it, and only 22 seconds later, Otto Stenburg takes the Lightning up 3-2. OTT gets a PP with about 8 to go but can't convert, and unfortunately, can't stay out of the box, as Weber, Hodgson, and McDavid all get penalties basically 2 minutes after one another and TB, rather than score, just runs out the clock. Goalie didn't even get a chance to get pulled with that masterclass.

It's a 3-2 win for TB and a 3-2 series lead as we go BACK to Tampa for a game 6.

(**Note, the Sharks re-upped their practices again, as the month TECHNICALLY did change. Rob Blake "thinks that the extra practise did little to improve the motivation of the team"... Ok Rob but did they get better? "The beatings will continue until morale improves")
