Re: Pittsburgh off-season block
There are two things I would like to add if I could make a big splash. See below. Both of them are very rare so it's entirely possible nothing comes from this, but if you are willing to part with such a player I'd be open to pretty much any ideas.
I would say probably Larsson is not available only because it would defeat the purpose, but anything else could be in play. I know I have to give to get, so that does include Svechnikov/Hughes, but it had better be REALLY good, and they are 100% untouchable if it's not filling what I'm looking for below. There are probably only a handful of players around the league for whom I'd entertain moving them, but who knows.
-- I would like to add another really high-end d-man to go alongside Larsson. Like an 80+ DF, 80+ OA kind of guy, the higher defense the better.
-- I would also like to add a #1 calibre centre with some physicality and face-off ability.
-- A top-5 pick in this year's draft might be tempting too, although I would probably have to wait and see what the draft class ultimately ends up looking like.
