The 2025 draft class of 152 skaters and 16 goalies is complete. It is available as always in the draft spreadsheet. You can also find the full draft order (will be pasted into threads before the draft starts), and look up the eligible draftees here (this also includes eligible players who weren't picked in the last two drafts, as well as some crappy fake players like Joe Quimby who are not eligible). Thus, we are ready to begin the draft.
The draft will start on Friday, August 8, 2024 at 8 PM ET. In the meantime, please review the draftees and the draft order and let me know if you spot any issues so that I can fix them before the draft starts. Also review the entry draft rules.
Note that as with last year, the amended rulebook makes it viable to draft second-time eligible POT boosters. I don't know how many there are.
This draft class is similar to last year's, but with 16/23/12 single/double/con booster forwards compared to 14/20/8 last year, and nominally slightly deeper otherwise. As usual, judge for yourself rather than taking the project OV at face value, since that's only used for making autopicks.

Re: 2025 Entry Draft
Reminder that it's round 3 so time limits are 8h, not 12.

Re: 2025 Entry Draft
I have asked Kevin (Detroit) to pick for me, as I'm travelling with limited internet access.

Re: 2025 Entry Draft
The draft is now entered in the file. Please double-check to see if there are any errors. Note I tried to enter picks with the right team (not in the right position) in-game so the player history file is vaguely correct*, but I made a mistake or two by the middle of the second round and gave up on that shortly afterwards.
A couple of changes had to be made:
Charlie Cerrato was an (awful, undrafted) CON booster 2 years ago. His old entry has been renamed to Gianni Bongiovi and made even worse, if you can believe it.
Tinus Luc Koblar was renamed to Tinus-Luc Koblar because the various scripts I have assume everything to the right of the first space is the last name, so multiple "first" (given, rather) names have to be hyphenated. Oh well.
*for example, it says Matthew Schaefer was drafted by Calgary Flames in round 1 (8 overall) year 2025. Half right is better than nothing.
