I'm thinking I should just keep all these fictional losers in. The names are entertaining.

Hilarius Knaus is a good one, but you can't argue with Zelimir Moeflehner.

EHEC's WJC seem suspiciously deprived of talent... all the better for the AHL.

No kidding. When Evan Bloodoff makes Team Canada, you know you are in trouble.

Maybe next year I'll give WJC benefits to teams who keep their kids in juniors. That might make it a little more interesting.

But, as a heads up, keep in mind that I can't really make the draft class until after WJC, because the game wouldn't have enough guys from Italy, Norway, or wherever. I don't look where the fictional guys are from, I just overwrite everybody with a - - in their players.ehm blurb.

I doubt your going to be able to get GM's to give up absolutely juicing a U20 players attributes for a few bonus points on LE, but allowing WJC eligible players that are currently playing pro in the NHL/AHL to play would add a lot of legitimacy to the EHEC version of the tournament. Even to limit the work involved, maybe say 2 or 3 players per organization can be submitted for eligibility 1-2 days before in game selecting (send them back to jnrs, can be done in game) and then after the tournament you would have to manually assign them back to the NHL/AHL which would be a bit of work with .ehm files. Whether you would still get some LE if teams played in medal games is obv up to staff, although after watching yesterday you cant help but think playing in a game like that would help with that sort of stuff irl.
Most recent file here.
