To Arizona:
Matthew Murphy (51)
PHI 4th 2021
To Colorado:
Luke Ripley (83)
Ville Heinola (79)
Avs accept. Murphy's development has not gone as planned so far this season. Ripley adds a big hitter to my third pair, and for Murphy's upside and cheap contract, I get a nice two-way D prospect in Heinola.

Re: ARI/COL
Confirmed. This is strictly a salary cap move. Free up a bit of space, and get back down to the 50 contract limit.

I'm afraid that I'm going to have to reject this as I am really struggling to see how this makes any sense for Arizona. Murphy is better than your average waiver pickup, sure, but Ripley is worth significantly more, and then adding Heinola on top just for 400k cap savings is just baffling.

Duly noted. I really should try and make player scout work on my computer.

Murphy projects to 76/81, at which point he will be clearly the best player in the trade. I don't see how it's lopsided.
