To Rangers:
Mattias Backman (56)
TB 5th 2024
To Colorado:
Eamon McAdam (73)
Jakub Galvas (63)
NYR 4th 2022
Avs accept. Backman has been a nice third pairing guy despite his con. But I've got guys busting for a callup on the farm. Basically getting Galvas for taking on McAdam's 250k.

Re: NYR/COL
NYRs accept. Backman's CON is questionable as COL points out, but the Hamhuis/Bender combo I've been running on the 3rd pair have decent CON and aren't performing. This puts a solid defensive option there.
Note - I know this puts me at 25 contracts (well 24 + MDC's when he's back in 2 days). I need to drop a guy to get to 23, then another guy in 2 days to stay at 23. I understand this and will do so once this is through. (I can't send down a D until Backman is on the roster in other words).
**Edit note: I know I could send Bender down in anticipation of this move. I can't imagine this trade would be rejected, but if for whatever reason it would be, I would want to keep Bender on the NHL club, not waivers. Basically, I understand the NHL club needs to be 22-23 contracts and I will comply. I am not in any danger of the 50-limit**
