I made a one-time exception to process Buffalo's cap hits after their trade, otherwise it would have been an annoying several weeks of my nagging to get under and nobody wants that. Since both teams in the trade lost, I think we can let that slide this once.

Detroit is only under thanks to McKeown's LTIR; they'd be well over otherwise.

Pittsburgh should be fine once Perfetti (or anyone else really) is demoted.

Besides those quibbles, we're all good (or will be once Calgary's trade clears).

Sending Burke to the AHL, that should cover the overage by a decent chunk.

CHI remained over, but was summarily punished with the Toews injury. WPG was over but seems to have demoted someone since.

ARI (due to farmers) and MTL are still over and need changes.

Sorry but ...
Why am I in minus numbers and don't have Montour on LTIR who by the rules should definitely be placed on LTIR ?? / injured for 2 weeks
I was always under the cap, every single day of the season
Please fix this and give me back my accumulated cap space.
I had 60,006,533 of max cap on 4th of November, therefore I should have more by now and not below 60m obviously.
I take pride in my calculations.
Thanks.
LTIR (Long-Term Injured Reserve)

Mark Alt (2.95, PHI @ 57.67)
Jared Boll (0)
Nikolai Glukhov (2.7, MTL>60)
Yegor Korshkov (3.45, BUF>60)
Brandon Montour (0, BUF@59.31[/b]

Did somebody accidentaly put Montour on BUF LTIR instead of my team?

Also quoting the rulebook which just underlines and confirms what I am saying

B. Injury Exemption
EHEC follows the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement’s framework on long-term injuries, although with its own alternate rule. When a player is injured for two (2) or more weeks, the team is granted a long-term injured reserve (LTIR) exemption, which allows it to temporarily exceed the salary cap by the amount of the injured player’s salary as long as they remain on the pro roster. The team must get back under the salary cap once the player is listed as day-to-day (DtD).

Yes*, and this is all you needed to post.

*where somebody is me, which should not be a surprise since this is the fourth season that I've been doing the cap for.

Also, you'll be shocked to hear that Vancouver's over the cap still (because of Michael Graham).

Per Rulebook
Teams that are over the cap will be hounded relentlessly to get under. If a team repeatedly exceeds the cap without appearing to correct the issue, action may be taken in the form of demoted players to the farm (even waiver-eligible players, if necessary), and/or applying penalties, including reducing the team's allowance of games played for their starting goalie. Teams that are over the cap at season end will have the overage applied as a penalty for the next season, as in the NHL

Because Montour is off LTIR, so you have to send someone down.

EDM is nominally over but will be at exactly 60M when Ruutu's LTIR kicks in (nice).

Thanks to Kevin (DET)'s detective work, I found that I had forgotten to change the waiver age date from 2020/9/15 to 2021 (I did change the age to 23, but that was only half of it). So, the following young players earning over AHL max (800k) should have had the excess as part of the pro team's cap but didn't:

761 = ('Brown', 'Logan', <Team.CBS: 2>, 200000)
869 = ('Green', 'Luke', <Team.STL: 26>, 250000)
1399 = ('Somppi', 'Otto', <Team.COL: 8>, 50000)
1443 = ('Cholowski', 'Dennis', <Team.CBS: 2>, 150000)
2469 = ('Koivula', 'Otto', <Team.DET: 11>, 200000)
2613 = ('Gerlach', 'Max', <Team.ANA: 1>, 250000)
2634 = ('Graham', 'Michael', <Team.VAN: 29>, 200000)

I have retroactively fixed all of this. Unfortunately, this puts Vancouver over the cap (one of the hazards of always skirting so close). I've give some leeway in fixing this issue since it was partly my fault. To be fair, Vancouver confused me because Graham's penalty (200k) is equal to that from all of the other overage and over-minimum-salary farmers (100k Tuulola + 50k each Gavrikov/Tulolov). Sorry, and y'all can go ahead and thank Kevin for this.

He does, but he only got 300k LTIR when he was injured, and that's not enough to cover his replacement now.

Also, generally you should send down down any waiver-ineligible injured players if you're under the cap because you can bank more cap space without having to use LTIR.

Arizona is over (will send them a note).

Vancouver will need to demote someone making at least 725k once Nylander is back (I think Kastelic is just barely insufficient).

I sent him down because you had an extra player on your roster, which would have put you further over, and he was the only waiver-ineligible player not in your lineup at the time.

DAL is over because of Jost's return (I said they could send him down right away but didn't do it myself).

Yes, where payroll = salaries + penalties.

Congratulations to the Montreal Canadiens on their potentially record-setting nearly 18M of LTIR, enough for two league max players.

Anaheim needs an adjustment (any one demotion would do it).

PIT's over after Radulov (presuming Perfetti will be sent down, or equivalent $).

ARZ & PIT over - both solvable, but should probably be resolved before adding more salary at the deadline.

I sent Afanaseyev down for PIT since they were over the cap for several games now.

I updated cap numbers with post-trade rosters again. Obviously, these temporary since I haven't finished entering all trades and some teams
will have more or fewer players than usual right after the trades. Cap numbers should settle down along with rosters in a couple of days.

I send 3.7M in the minors, but still have 3 fast sign players in the minor. I’ll be at 50 contract when this 3 players will be released.
