Interesting game to start the night - Buffalo had 16 shots on 6 powerplays, but scored on none of them (and even allowed a short-handed goal). Which also means they only had 7 shots in other situations, but scored on 3... so there's that... Tampa, meanwhile, had 7 powerplays of their own, only managed 6 shots there, but two resulted in goals (admittedly one was into an empty net).

This powerplay situation was then followed up by a 4-2 North Stars win over the south Stars, during which the two teams also had 13 powerplays but combined for 27 shots on them o.O

Edmonton's 4-2 victory over Vancouver was a bit more normal (though both of Vancouver's goals were on the powerplay), Chicago upset the Habs 3-1 to almost-but-not-quite secure their playoff spot (though is it really an upset when the 8th seed in the west beats the 2nd in the east considering how shit the east is?)

Columbus' Stefan Matteau managed to get 5+10 for attempt to injure halfway through their 5-3 loss to the Predators, leaving Andrew Cogliano out indefinitely. The game even suspended Matteau for 9 games, but that's of course increased to 25 upon review by the Buttman. Nashville also went 3 for 3 on the powerplay, but only one of those was during the 5min.

Ottawa and the Flyers played out an unexpected and exciting 4-4 tie. The Flyers were down 3-1 with less than 12min left, only for a pair of quick goals by Ehlers and Nylander to even things up. The Sens pulled back ahead late, only for Dylan Wruck (who?) to score with the goalie pulled.

Pittsburgh managed a ho-hum 4-1 win over the Devils, St. Louis destroyed Colorado 6-0, and Washington decided to sabotage their draft lottery odds with three 1st period powerplay goals en route to a 4-1 win over Toronto.

And I believe that's my last regular season sim, so, uh, bye? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Two games remaining in our schedule and we still have a chance to make the playoffs or finish as low as 24th overall

Those Oil Kings teams got me through a lot of dark and painful Oiler seasons.
