Game 7s boys, its all on the line, its not worth mincing words...

LA vs. CHI: LA exerts some dominance here. Both teams are pretty equal in shots and powerplays. But LA won't be upset, as they get 6 goals from 5 different players (2 from Nick Ritchie) while Bernier shuts out the Hawks. Congrats LA and good luck.

SJS vs. EDM: In our closer game, Tippett opens scoring, but that's it for EDM, as the stars come out with Kopitar, Tarasenko, and Kakko chip in to win 4-1 and advance to Round 2. Just like in the first game, the shots are close, just like the powerplays, but its still a big win.

Decisive wins boys. Almost ready for Round 2 once tomorrow's INSANE CONTEST BETWEEN TWO JUGGERNAUTS ENDS

GG Mike, that was a nailbiter. Glad most of the big guns showed up. I could have asked for more from Tarasenko, and definitely from Kitsyn, but hey. Tippett was a beast and Spencer made me regret trading him back when. Alzner, Blum and Pavelec were definitely also on the ice at various points.

For the record, this means an all-Pacific SJ@ANA and DAL@LA semifinal, with a guaranteed California rep in the conference finals and pretty good odds for one in the Cup finals (no offense Martin, it's just statistics).

The future looks bright in Chicago with Cuma back and a sexy 1st round pick coming soon! When are we doing the lottery?

Good job Bern, i known this series will not be easy. The Blackhawks is a much better team than is 8th place finish. Jonathan Bernier really step up in this game to get the blank. The Kings are ready for another big matchup against the Stars.

Look at that, an SJ win and a super tight LA-CHI series, just like I predicted.

Good question. The sooner I know for sure I'm dropping to 6th overall the better
