The Stars open the conference finals with two goals, and enter the third period with a one-goal lead after a Holtz reply. Then the Ducks scored two quick goals to take their first lead of the game. Then the Stars score two quick goals of their own in the final 5 minutes, plus an empty netter to add more injury to injury (nobody was injured seriously - seriously). That miserable 3 goals in 3:04 down the Ducks, naturally.

Malkin and Bellows each had a pair of goals, but the former only made 3rd star and the latter was snubbed in favour of Armia, who had a 2nd assist and ENG.
