The Sens play a tight road game, holding the Habs to 17 shots through the first 2 periods and taking an early lead in the 3rd on their (rare!) second powerplay goal of the game. Everything falls apart in the next 8 minutes as the Habs come back to score three straight, and then a fourth with 3 minutes to go, ending the period with a 13-6 shot advantage. Montreal ends the game with an (also rare) even strength shot advantage against Ottawa, and more importantly, a 5-2 goal advantage and 2-1 series lead. Kostin & Spezza starred for the Habs while Evan Sarthou won the goaltending duel against Jaro Halak.
