Homepage, Schedule & Results, League Save File

Season's over, playoff matchups are set (schedule is not fixed).

The biggest news is Colorado's Moritz Seider decided to destroy Filip Zadina's abdomen with 5 minutes to go in their meaningless game. Zadina will be out until November 20 and Seider will miss the first 25 games of next season.

More to come later.

Other things that happened:

Florida scratched some regulars but still beat TB with Lundqvist making 23/24 saves for the win in a last hurrah. EHM declined to give him a star for his performance. The game was inconsequential for Florida but means that TB failed to jump ahead of the Sens. Brickley scored two to earn himself sole Art Ross trophy honours at a very sad record-low 79 points, as well as a 1/3 share of the Rocket Richard with Tarasenko and MPS, all tied at 41G. We can apparently manage 0.5GPG but not 1PPG.

The Rags doubled up the Flyers with an ENG, cementing the playoff matchups in the East, which include... Rangers vs Flyers. In full:

TOR @ MTL
FLA @ PIT
PHI @ NYR
TB @ OTT

The Caps scored 4PPGs on 11 shots on Boston's Thatcher Demko, who got pulled for some reason. The Devils roasted the Sabres. That sets up the Bedard hopefuls:

CBS, BUF, VAN, MIN, CAR, CGY, ANA, NJ, BOS, PIT via COL, WAS, OTT via ARI, NYI, FLA via EDM.

Goalies, I dunno. Three finished with >.900sv% and > 20GP, but all had losing records. Yaroslav Askarov had the best GAA of any starter, and best sv% with at least a winning record. Riku Helenius was not far behind in GAA and sv% but had 38 wins in 61 games, while Ben Bishop led with 41 wins.

Rasmus Dahlin and Quinn Hughes led defensemen with 63 and 62 points, respectively. Ivan Provorov was following the rainbow close in third with 56. A bunch of rugged bruiser types led in takeaways.

TayTay Hall led with a +48 while Daniel Krejci did not with a -43. 5'11, 61HI Samuel Fagemo won 10/12 fights. Jacob Larsson and Teemu Pulkkinen each won 1/11. Maybe just stay home?

Carolina led the league with a -202 goal differential, almost double that of second place Colorado (-104). Tops in referee bribing were Pittsburgh (+166) and St. Louis (+127).
