Homepage, Schedule & Results, League Save File

The final day of the season, every team playing, but only one last playoff spot on the line. As those who watched the recording I put on discord, Dallas pulling out the 5-2 win over St. Louis eliminated Colorado, regardless of their subsequent victory over Nashville. Adding insult to injury (or possibly injury to insult), in what I feel is an unfortunately appropriate microcosm of the Avs season, Nashville's Nathan Noel knocked out Eric Staal for 88 days, earning himself a 12 game suspension (or possibly 13, I'm not sure how we round things).

Elsewhere, the Wild winning and Ducks only managing a tie swapped the two teams into 6th/7th in the west respectively, while the Habs' 6-3 defeat of Toronto was not enough to get them into 5th, as the Devils beat Ottawa 6-4. Florida and Boston had already been eliminated, but their victories combined with the Isles loss does mean they finish just 1 and 2 points out.

A President's Trophy, huh... not bad. Didn't even have to win to get it either thanks to Detroit (what was that?).

Kenny Ryan got a clutch 2 points to finish with 50 in 66, pretty good for a guy I waived at the beginning of the season, Kakko ends with a consistent but not that nice 59, and Kovy ends with 36 goals to (sadly) break a 9-year 40+ streak.

Meanwhile, Gaborik earning 1.6M at age 42, scoring 47G and winning the Art Ross... now that's impressive. Also breaks Gordie Howe's record of 44 at age 40.

Congrats to Risto (NYR) and Warren (EDM) with the rare 85 games played. We appreciate your willingness to play for free a few games.

Richards also got to 84 games played this year.

Up next a rematch of the 18 playoffs. Ott - NYI That series went 7 games with OTT ousting us. This time the Sens have home ice advantage.

Glad to be part of the post season again!
