All contracts offered except Zatkoff. Rights remain with you.

Let me know if you actually want to offer Zatkoff that much money. He'd make too much for the AHL. Oscar Moller also will make too much for the AHL. I offered that one, but I can reverse it if you want.

An award has been determined in the Chris Phillips arbitration.

LA comps & proposed: Kronwall, Boynton, Robidas; 2.8M per for 2 years
Arbitrator comps: Kronwall, Brewer

Phillips is an adequate player, with decent CON and good LE. He is lower than Kronwall in production and attributes, but has a higher CON and better LE, making Kronwall's 3M price tag the best comp available.

My arbitrator settled on 3.15M, a reasonable number for Phillips. He is better than the full paycut proposed by Hugo.

In this instance, I'm going to put Phillips at 2.95M because of the 10% penalty for a late contract offer. That would put Phillips at 3.245M.

Hugo, you can accept/reject Phillips for 2 years at $3,245,000 per season.

Brent Burns has signed a $7,000,000 per year, 4 year deal with the Los Angeles Kings. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced. (to be adjusted to 7.2)

Still have to figure out this Palushaj thing. I know it's a really high price to pay, but with the Tyler Myers rule, it's 3,412,500. My suggestion, if you want to keep him, would be to offer a 1-year deal and see where he ends up next year with the formula.

An award has been determined in the Jonathan Quick arbitration.

Terms: 4 yrs
GM proposal: 750k per; comps: Dubnyk, Budaj, Greiss
Agent proposal: 1.7M per; comps: Tokarski, Holtby, Dekanich, Smith

This is a rather difficult case because there is a wide range of goaltenders who can be used in this case. Off the top, it's hard to consider a decrease in salary for Quick because he did go 11-2-2 during the regular season when playing in place of Cory Schneider. However, he was just 6-7-1 in 10-11 after a solid 16-8-1 in EHEC's inaugural season. I guess the best thing to do is look at all of the comparables and see who most closely resembles Quick by age, ability, and way he was acquired.

Dubnyk was traded for from EDM. Budaj was signed as a league-minimum free agent. Greiss was acquired via trade. Tokarski has bounced around more than a pair of floppy boobs. Holtby has been with the Caps for the duration. Dekanich was signed in FA. Smith has been traded a couple times.

Quick is somewhere in between Greiss and Holtby, because he doesn't have Dubnyk's CON. He's not good enough to be a starter, but his CON is good enough to be a cheap backup. (Hell, he's a far better option than Gustavsson.) He's a couple ticks better than Greiss in terms of POT and a couple ticks lower than Holtby. If we put him in the middle, that's 1.25M, because Greiss makes 750k and Holtby 1.5M. I think that's a fair number for Quick. However, we can reasonably assume that for a four-year deal, Quick's agents would be willing to budge off the price. I think it's fair to keep Quick right where he is.

I award Jon Quick $1,000,000 for the next 4 seasons.

Hugo, you can accept/reject this award.

What do you mean by min contract? It doesn't get lower than the formula. Cole wants 1.4M and Fehr wants 1.6M, which would be too much for him to play in the AHL.
