Was I angry I lost 4 straight years in round 1? Was I serious when I said Eichel and Nuke were gone? Was I CRITICALLY MOTIVATED TO MAKE DAN ANGRY WITH A TRADE POST?

I traded for Eichel when I came into this league with a hope and prayer and the team failed. I am not ready to rebuild, but a retool? Let's go. CGY made sense because we've traded before, and he has a great team, the #1 pick, but NOTHING defensively. This deal gives him that, while retooling the Rangers with noted real-NHL winner Auston Matthews. That's gotta be the right move, yes?

Dan we know this won't be entered for awhile. Don't worry. But we're WAKING UP everyone else.

It's hard to trade an elite player like Matthews. My team has been lacking balance and the past two seasons its been a struggle to be a contender for a playoffs.

NYR GM reached out to me about a month ago floating the idea. I'm a big Eichel fan ,but it didn't feel right to 1 for 1 trade him away and I wanted Kasper so that really drove it home that I gained some solid DEF.

Eichel is extra sweet to pick up because my neighbors his high school teacher in Chelmsford, MA so that was the cherry on top.
