WELCOME TO THE STANLEY CUP FINALS. It's game 1 and after my own minor surgery (DET is the home team, not OTT, which somehow I caught(??) even though wasn't sure how to fix, but thanks to Dan/Kevin I DID IT) Ahem, regardless, let's head into game 1 and see how things go...

It's a sold out crowd of 19515 at the worst pizza joint in america...

PERIOD 1
It's all OTT early as Mr. All Time Best Boost hits his 11th and Kirkstar his 3rd, all in 3 minutes. Despite 2 PPs for DET after that, it remains a 2 goal lead.

PERIOD 2
McJesus makes its 3-0, but DET won't let it end, with Billy Eklund and Sam "MVP Trade Deadline" Reinhart score and its 3-2 OTT, for an interesting 3rd.

PERIOD 3
Just kidding, both teams are terrified and its not until an empty netter to end it 4-2. (oh also technically its a PP. Thanks JVR!!!!1one)

They say you aren't in trouble until you lose at home, so Kevin finds himself aching as OTT and Marty go up 1-0 after a close game 1. Shots were close (25 v 21) but that OTT depth eeks out the first victory of the SCF. See you all Friday, Dan's got that one.
