with our first selection, the 5th overall pick, we dealed it to the RedWings for the 10th overall and the 27th. With the 10th overall selection, we grabbed the talented Ryan Strome from the Niagara IceDogs

With our second selection of the first round, we put our hands on goaltender Christopher Gibson for our future between the pipes. In the second round, we have traded the 35th ovr pick to Nashville for goaltender Pekka Rinne, this move was made to have a solid goaltender during Gibson's learning in the AHL. There's 2 more years of Rinne's contract so it will give enough time for Gibson to get ready.

59th : Lukas Sedlak - a potential 2nd-3rd line center for the future.
65th: Jyrki Jokipakka - a defenceman who could make the jump in the nhl this fall
95th: Anthony Camara - a potential 3rd liner
125th: Brett Ritchie - another LW for the future
155th: Stepan Jenik - a defenceman
185th: Tobias Rieder - a center

that complete our selections for the 2011 nhl entry draft
