A thrilling night in EHEC comes to a close with a couple of suspension announcements. Repeat offender Colby Armstrong will sit out the next six games for taking out Kyle Quincey into the New Year. David Backes has had his suspension adjusted per the league rulebook and will be out the next nine games for injuring Kyle Beach indefinitely.

Three games need the skills competition, two more need overtime, and a couple of shutouts make tonight (arguably) the most exciting sim of the season to date. The banged-up Kings come away with two points in Ottawa, while the Florida Panthers will look back at tonight as one of the key moments of their season if they are able to clinch a playoff berth. The Jackets put it together for at least one night, but the Colby Armstrong suspension will throw a wrench into those plans. Jordan Staal lost three fights in the game. The Jets get outshot and outplayed but Jack Campbell saves the day. The Flyers score four goals on just 14 shots to roar back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Hurricanes. Three extra attacker goals are scored on the night, including a couple that give the Blues and the Sabres a point for getting to overtime. Both teams lost in extra time. Gabby Landeskog shakes off a minor injury to notch the game winner for the Avs, while the Sharks open a can on the Stars.

Crawled back in it and grinded it out to the skills competition. Probably a good one, yeah. Gotta win against the good teams, even in December.

Nine games? For injuring a scrub in LA? Are you kidding here I was thinking 4 was a bit much.

Guess we shall kiss this division lead goodbye.

Marc Savard watch: 9 games without a goal.

At least we got a point out of it. If we're going to lose games, at least we're getting a point out of them at least.

Was due for a W it appears, always struggle with your guys. Except for when half the team is hurt in the playoffs. 8-)
