Re: December 23, 2012
The league has reviewed an incident from Saturday night involving an injury to Peter Mueller. As a result, Wojtek Wolski has been suspended for four games. From tonight, Zack Stortini has been suspended one game for his injurious hit on Dion Phaneuf.
Tidings of comfort and joy for some teams and big lumps of coal for others as the league takes a two-day break for the Christmas holiday. The default score of the night is 5-1, as four of the seven games end with that score. It's not all happiness in Calgary as Dion Phaneuf won't return to the lineup until 2013 following a hit from Zack Stortini. da Hawks, Flames, and Senators all register four powerplay goals in their victories. The Capitals manage to kill off a lengthy 4-on-3 shorthanded situation in overtime with the Canes to steal the second point in the shootout, thanks to a phenomenal effort from Simeon Varlamov. The orphaned teams play 65 plus a skills competition in a Blues victory. Thomas Vanek's two goals help lead the Sabres over the Avalanche.
Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmakkahwanza!
EHEC's year has been a roller-coaster ride that turned out wayyyy better than the NHL, so enjoy your two-day break.

Re: December 23, 2012
I'd say the team atop the standings is pretty shocking although if the coyotes played 4 more games they'd be ahead most likely. No roller coaster rides yet!SharksGM wrote:Merry Christmakkahwanza!

I don't understand how a night with 3 assists doesn't get my goaltender a star.

Maybe they were all terrible rebounds off his stick.Jungle Cats wrote:I don't understand how a night with 3 assists doesn't get my goaltender a star.
Re: December 23, 2012
Or he was throwing some sauce to the forwards cherry picking behind Weber and Suter? Or he just stopped the puck behind the net? Or he skated up with it like Patrick Roy doing 360s?SharksGM wrote:Maybe they were all terrible rebounds off his stick.Jungle Cats wrote:I don't understand how a night with 3 assists doesn't get my goaltender a star.

8 players with 20+ points in 31 games thus far.
Let's hope this depth pays off in the long run as injuries are starting to bite me once again.
Cheers, everyone.
