The offseason begins early for Nail Yakupov, who will be lost until next year's preseason following an incident with Alex Edler. Edler will miss the next 10 games for his transgression.

An inauspicious debut for Erik Gudbranson, with just a 5 rating and a rather pedestrian stat line, but the Coyotes hold the Red Wings to just one goal on 16 shots in a 3-1 victory. The thriller of the night comes from Jersey, where Geno Malkin scores late to get the Devils a point, but David Krejci pots the winner 41 seconds into overtime. That's a big boy win for the Flames, who are going to be a formidable playoff foe. Tommy might want to fire himself after he gets Semin all over his face in the Leafs' 5-1 win over the Jets. The Rangers hang half a dozen on the Kings as Hannu Toivonen plays a game to forget. Calle Jarnkrok gets a puck to add to his mantle, but the Hurricanes take care of business over the Sens.

In late action, the Sharks fall behind early and lose their first game without Joe Thornton. Jaden Schwartz does provide a bright spot with two goals. An epic fail for the Blues after a strong first period against the Oilers. The Predators find some easy prey in the Ducks with a 5-1 rout.

Another game where we get just a point, but I guess atleast it is a point.

We now have played the same amount of games as Pittsburgh and are level on points, got 32 games to get ahead of them.

Likes: Jaden Schwartz
Dislikes: How the hell did Hossa get 2 points in under 10 minutes of ice time and Coyle 9 takeaways. Also everyone who gets paired with Rozsival starts sucking; only Lidstrom was immune.

I should pay more attention to Femur's lines, they're strangely effective despite being so postmodern.

Apparently the Jets mirrored my performance at the bar last night, a little too much. Which asshole gave the youngsters a fake to get into The Aces?
