Re: Edmonton Oilers
Tyler Toffoli at $1,575,000 for 4 years and JacobTrouba at $2,500,000 sounds good.
Thanks!
Also I would like to lock both Anders Lindback & Riley Nash for 4 years + Two Way. Whatever their price is.
Finally, I'm signing prospects Scott Oke and Adam Reid to ELCs.

Re: Edmonton Oilers
I just gave Nash what he wanted in the file. I think was more than the formula. Lindback I bumped up to 600k. Probably around his arbitration award if he went.

Re: Edmonton Oilers
Regarding the Ryan Smyth arbitration, I apologize. I fucked up.
Ryan Smyth has a player option from last season's arbitration hearing at 4.5M per.
If Ryan Smyth does not accept that PO, he will test the market. I apologize for wasting your time writing up the Smyth case. That's an oversight on my part and it cost both of you precious time.
So, Mike, if Smyth accepts the PO, he'll stay. If not, he'll go. Again, sorry for the mishap.

Re: Edmonton Oilers
Forgot to add a Two-Way to Jeff Petry's contract. So that's:
$700,000/season
4 years
Two-Way
Also, Edmonton files Scott Hartnell for arbitration.

Re: Edmonton Oilers
An award has been determined in the Scott Hartnell rights arb.
Length: 4 years
GM proposal: 4.9M
Arbitrator proposal: 5M
4.9 is obviously more than 90% of 5M, so I award Hartnell at 4 years, 4.9M per.

Re: Edmonton Oilers
Carey Price
Terms: 7 years
GM proposal: $4,250,000; comps: Mason
Agent proposal: $4,900,000; comps: Fleury, Varlamov
Varlamov < Price = Mason < Fleury. Varly and Fleury do make more, but Price's solid 2013 playoffs weighs into this (whereas Varly and Fleury have sucked in or haven't had a chance to see the playoffs). Price's LE and Mason's CON offset, but the arbitrator feels that Mason is worth a bit more than he's paid. $4,750,000 awarded.
