The offseason begins early for a couple players in EHEC tonight. The Rangers are in good shape for a top five pick following the three-month injury sustained by Ryan McDonagh. Patrick Sharp will sit the next six games for the Hawks. Later, Gregory Hofmann's season was ended by Colby Robak, who will sit 10 games for the six-month injury to Hofmann.

Well, I certainly didn't get to ease back into it with a 12-game sim and 23 emails to enter, plus free agents. For my troubles, I got shutout 4-0. Road teams had pretty good success tonight, a rarity from EHM. Brett Hosie is victorious in his first game at the helm with an OT victory over the Red Wings. The Canadiens dominate the second period to snag a point at Consol Energy Center but James van Riemsdyk pots the OT game winner for the second point. The Flames could have used a few of Abbotsford's 53 shots on goal in tonight's loss to the KIngs.
