Big win for the Jackets as they look to consolidate that 8th spot in the East. Detroit misses a big chance to keep pace by sustaining a six-goal 2nd period barrage from the Sabres. In the West, Anaheim makes progress; Edmonton and Chicago do not.

I did throw Jake allen into the net, thought we could have still handled it, but guess not. Couldn't even score 5-on-5.

Yeah, given Chicago's recent hot streak figured he was best left vs them, but as soon as PIT beat WPG we were pretty much done and locked in as no.2 seed anyway as their remainder of games should be wins.
