I encourage everyone to participate!

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

1. Image Nolan De Jong
Defensemen (Drafted by TB round 5th round year 2013, 150 overall)

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-

2013-14 Peterborough Petes OHL 77 12 21 33 54 40
2014-15 Syracuse Crunch AHL 47 1 6 7 12 5
Report: De Jong has transitioned well to the pro-game, even as a 19 year old. Predicted to be a long-shot to make the NHL because of his frame, De Jong skill has continued to develop despite being only 165 pounds. De Jong is a consistent player, with good defensive smarts and offensive potential. He has overcome his label of being a fringe prospect, and looks to be on the cusp of playing in the NHL.

2. Image Nick Wolff
Defensemen (Drafted by TB round 4th round year 2014, 113 overall)

Code: Select all

2014-15 Minnesota WCHA 15 2 3 5 37 9
Report: After bursting on to the college hockey scene with a mind boggling 31 goals in 59 games, Wolff's offensive game has seriously regressed this season. Billed as a physical specimen, Wolf still has the potential to be a crushing NHL defensemen.

3. Image Reid Gardiner
Right Wing (Drafted by TB round 4th round year 2014, 92 overall)

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-

2014-15 Prince Albert Raiders WHL 47 43 27 70 41 28
Report: Gardiner has been on a absolute tear this season in the Dub'. He has an incredible shot, and if he can continue his development next season he has the potential to be a NHL sniper. He is tied for 3rd for goals in the WHL.

4. Image Andreas Englund
Defensemen (Drafted by TB round 4th round year 2014, 118 overall)

2014-15 Syracuse Crunch AHL 24 2 1 3 28 -14
2014-15 Djurgarden IF Stockholm SWE 3 1 2 3 0 -2
Report: After impressing coaches out of camp, the 18 year old Swede found himself in Syracuse. However, he struggled to find a consistent spot in the starting lineup. When he was playing, his inexperience showed on a inexperienced team. Management decided that it was best Englund continue his development back in Europe. The time in North America has appeared to pay dividends, as Englund is averaging a point per game since returning.

5. Image Connor Carrick
Defensemen (Drafted by TB round 5th round year 2014, 128 overall)

Code: Select all

2011-12 USNTDP USHL 21 1 4 5 30 1
2012-13 Plymouth Whalers OHL 68 12 32 44 79 27
2013-14 Plymouth Whalers OHL 55 9 17 26 27 41
2014-15 Tampa Bay Lightning NHL 4 0 0 0 4 3
2014-15 Syracuse Crunch AHL 42 1 5 6 16 -17
Report: Passed over in 2013 and 2014, Carrick was a surpise selection by the Lightning. Even more surprising, was the 21 year old Carrick made his NHL debut this season. A late bloomer, Carrick possess good defensive and offensive intelligence. While undersized, he uses his knowledge on the ice to succeed. While he has struggled to lead a youthful Crunch squad, Carrick could end up being a every day NHL player.

1. RW Justin Kirkland - CBJ 2nd (53rd overall) in 2014

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 Kelowna Rockets WHL 6 0 1 1 0 0
2012-13 Kelowna Rockets WHL 6 2 0 6 2 6
2013-14 Kelowna Rockets WHL 45 36 27 63 8 34
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 33 6 6 12 12 0
2014-15 Kelowna Rockets WHL 12 7 6 13 6 12
Acquired early on this season as part of a package for Joe Pavelski, Kirkland has had some very nice development since joining the Dogs in the AHL. He is 4th on the team in points (sad as that is) and has the best +/- on the team (which may be worse). If he continues on his upward trajectory, he could find himself in the big leagues as soon as next season.

2. C Justin Kea - CHI 3rd (78th overall) in 2012

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2010-11 Saginaw Spirit OHL 62 4 2 6 49 -5
2011-12 Saginaw Spirit OHL 65 3 11 14 76 -4
2012-13 Saginaw Spirit OHL 68 35 33 68 112 40
2013-14 Kingston Frontenacs OHL 65 31 27 58 87 31
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 41 3 7 10 22 -17
2014-15 Tappara Tampere FIN 4 1 3 4 5 4
Another early season addition, acquired in a deal for Alexander Frolov and Colten St. Clair, Kea instantly became a go to defensive option for Hamilton. His numbers may be even worse than Kirkland's but observers believe there's a chance he could get a call from the Habs before the end of the season.

3. L Stephen Harper - CHI 5th (145 overall) in 2013

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 Erie Otters OHL 63 24 11 35 14 -36
2012-13 Erie Otters OHL 67 18 20 38 24 -38
2013-14 Erie Otters OHL 70 73 41 114 29 37
2014-15 Erie Otters OHL 48 53 27 80 30 39
Acquired in the same deal as Kea, it's easy to see what Montreal expects Harper to eventually bring to their lineup when you see he has 126 goals in his last 118 games in the OHL. He also led Canada in scoring at the World Juniors with 5 goals and 7 assists in 6 games. He's expected to be in the AHL by next season at the very latest.

4. D Damir Galin - DET 3rd (76th overall) in 2012

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 CSKA Moscow KHL 59 46 18 64 8 31
2012-13 Ak Bars Kazan KHL 57 7 13 20 102 36
2013-14 Ak Bars Kazan RUS 60 6 12 18 115 37
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 42 2 2 4 20 -19
2014-15 SKA St.Peterburg RUS 1 0 0 0 0 -1
Yet another early season addition, this time in a smaller deal for Michal Repik, it's no secret what's expected of Galin. At 6'4", 224 pounds and with over 100 PIMs in each of his last two seasons in Russia, Galin is a physical presence. He still has plenty of development room left and is expected to take at least another season to get out of the A.

5. D Andrei Mironov - OTT 3rd (67th overall) in 2013

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 HC MVD Rus3 59 1 8 9 87 -1
2012-13 HC MVD Rus3 6 0 1 1 0 -1
2012-13 Dynamo Moscow KHL 40 0 5 5 26 3
2013-14 Binghamton Senators AHL 17 0 1 1 14 -51
2013-14 Dynamo Moscow RUS 38 0 8 8 19 -25
2014-15 Hamilton Bulldogs AHL 45 0 6 6 16 -16
Hey look, someone I didn't acquire. Traded to Montreal in the deal that saw Ottawa acquire two players that I actually would've liked to have, Mironov has the potential to be an effective two-way defenseman but hasn't managed to put it together just yet on the farm.

1. Ryan MacInnis
BIRTHYEAR 1996-02-14
BIRTHPLACE St. Louis, MO, USA
AGE 18
NATION USA / Canada
POSITION C
SHOOTS L
HEIGHT 193 cm / 6'4" WEIGHT 84 kg / 185 lbs
DRAFTED by Dallas Stars in round 1, #10 overall in 2014 draft

season team league gp g a pts pim +/-
2013-14 Kitchener Rangers OHL 44 43 33 76 19 36
2014-15 Texas Stars AHL 45 14 17 31 20 -10

Report: Ryan MacInnis had a slower start when entering AHL, but of course, it's completely understandable, mainly due to a fact that he's still just 18 years old but as the the season progresses he keeps getting better and better and his stats prove it. The truth is, he could easily jump up to the NHL if there was enough of cap space in the Dallas Stars payroll.

2. Nikita Scherbak
BIRTHYEAR 1995-12-30
BIRTHPLACE Moskva, RUS
AGE 19
NATION Russia
POSITION RW
SHOOTS L
HEIGHT 187 cm / 6'2"
WEIGHT 79 kg / 174 lbs
DRAFTED by Dallas Stars in round 1, #19 overall in 2014 draft

season team league gp g a pts pim +/-
2013-14 Saskatoon Blades WHL 44 38 20 58 38 31
2014-15 Texas Stars AHL 46 4 8 12 14 -11

Report: Nikita also had slower start entering the AHL but managed to show flashes or brilliance from time to time. He's getting fair amount of ice-time and opportunities on PP, he just needs to be more effective and work on his overall game. Alhought, he doesn't seem to be so well-prepared for the NHL just yet, just like previously mentioned Ryan MacInnis, it is expected that he will have a huge impact on the Dallas Stars offense one day. It just takes time . . .

3. Conner Bleackley
BIRTHYEAR 1996-07-02
BIRTHPLACE High River, AB, CAN
AGE 18
NATION Canada
POSITION C
SHOOTS R
HEIGHT 183 cm / 6'0"
WEIGHT 87 kg / 192 lbs
DRAFTED by Dallas Stars in round 1, #24 overall in 2014 draft

season team league gp g a pts pim +/-
2013-14 Red Deer Rebels WHL 60 43 25 68 56 34
2014-15 Texas Stars AHL 45 5 7 12 24 -10

Report: Conner is slowly but surely growing into a player he's expected to become. He's showing tremendous defensive awareness and maturity and he's still just an 18 years old kid. Sure, he will need to take some time, especially, to work on his offensive game and to be effective but the odds are that he could become a number 1 centreman for the Dallas Stars in a year or two.

4. Joshua Ho-Sang
BIRTHYEAR 1996-01-22
BIRTHPLACE Toronto, ON, CAN
AGE 19 NATION Canada
POSITION RW
SHOOTS R
HEIGHT 180 cm / 5'11"
WEIGHT 79 kg / 174 lbs
DRAFTED by Dallas Stars in round 2, #44 overall

season team league gp g a pts pim +/-
2013-14 Windsor Spitfires OHL 46 38 34 72 23 29
2014-15 Windsor Spitfires OHL 47 46 33 79 30 37

Report: What to say here? Too bad that there isn't any space left for underagers for Joshua Ho-Sang this year down in Texas. He has tremendous offensive potential and he's showing improvment in all aspects of the game but the truth is, there's nothing left he could prove in OHL. He just needs to play AHL as soon as possible.

5. Dillon Heatherington
BIRTHYEAR 1995-05-09
BIRTHPLACE Calgary, AB, CAN
AGE 19
NATION Canada
POSITION D
SHOOTS L
HEIGHT 193 cm / 6'4"
WEIGHT 93 kg / 205 lbs
ACQUIRED via trade from Vancouver Canucks and was drafted in round 2, #33 overall in 2013 draft

season team league gp g a pts pim +/-
2013-14 Swift Current Broncos WHL 74 7 15 22 79 -18
2014-15 Swift Current Broncos WHL 45 5 9 14 24 -5

Report: Dillon is a big mobile defenseman who's showing leadership qualities both on and off the ice. But still, he's just at the beginning of the long road to become an NHL defenseman. Sure, there is potential, he just needs experience and thus, to grow into his cellings. He'll turn 20 by the end of this season so he'll join Texas next season and not as an underagers which is a good thing. He'll need time but there's no need to hurry. Dallas management trusts that Dillon will become a solid d-man in years to come.

1. Michael Dal Colle, LW/RW -- NYR 1st 2014 (4th overall)

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2012-13 Oshawa Generals OHL 63 15 33 48 18 19
2013-14 Oshawa Generals OHL 72 79 34 113 37 34
2014-15 Hartford Wolfpack AHL 45 23 21 44 22 -4
Already an NHL-ready prospect, Dal Colle continues to get top-minute playing time in the AHL until space is made for him on the big club. Dal Colle figures to become a premier two-way forward in the league, delivering big hits and wielding a big shot.

2. Elias Lindholm, C/RW -- acquired via trade with OTT, 6-15-2014 (OTT 1st 213, 7th overall)

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 Brynäs IF (J20) SWE 36 14 35 49 45 24
2011-12 Brynäs IF SWE 12 0 0 0 0 -2
2012-13 Brynäs IF SWE 48 11 19 30 2 1
2013-14 Binghamton Senators AHL 16 0 2 2 6 -45
2013-14 Brynäs IF SWE 43 38 30 68 4 40
2014-15 Hartford Wolfpack AHL 45 16 42 58 14 0
Perhaps a stretch at #7 in the 2013 draft, Lindholm has blossomed into a potential 2nd-line offensive dynamo at center. He should continue to develop into a premier playmaker and positionally outstanding checking C. His only drawback is his lack of physical presence and only average strength.

3. Hampus Lindholm, D -- acquired via trade with PIT, 1-3-2013 (PIT 2nd 2012, 48th overall)

Code: Select all

Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/-
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2011-12 Luleå HF SWE 59 19 25 44 26 40
2012-13 Luleå HF SWE 58 19 37 56 16 27
2013-14 Hartford Wolfpack AHL 64 4 18 22 28 26
2013-14 Luleå HF SWE 13 3 6 9 7 8
2014-15 Hartford Wolfpack AHL 45 9 27 36 20 5
Lindholm (no relation to Elias) is a predominantly offensive D, but one who won't get lost in his own end. Should develop into a nifty playmaker and quality power play D. Not overly physical, but doesn't get pushed around easily, either. Will get a chance coming out of the all-star break with Girardi going on LTIR.

4. Jason Cotton, C/LW -- NYR 2nd 2014 (48th overall)

Cotton is a big of a longshot, one who may or may not reach his full potential. Assuming he hits his full development, he will be a dynamic and big-time two-way forward, and could be a perfect center-ice complement to Dal Colle.

5. Curtis Valk, RW/LW -- NYR 4th 2013 (105th overall)

2014-15 Hartford Wolfpack AHL 45 35 19 54 26 0
Another physical winger looking to crack the regular lineup, Valk is now in his second season with Hartford, but this will surely be his last. Needs to become more responsible defensively, which could happen; if it does, he'll be a smooth skating, chippy, 2nd or 3rd line winger, depending on need. Also has nice offensive potential. Consistency is a concern, however.

Honorable mentions: Nicholas Paul (LW/RW); Eamon McAdam (G); Saku Salminen (LW/C).

You need to have the game -- open an individual player and click on the "P" at the right of his window. It will export the player profile. If you're not using the actual game, you pretty much only have this season's stats available to you through GM Office.

We should start a kickstarter for Quinn to update GM Office.

Ian McCoshen is going to be a stud Norris-calibre defenseman whether you like it or not. Josh Jacobs is a little behind him in consistency and development but he's got just as much talent. Jayce Hawryluk is nearly ready for a 4th line role and could be good enough to be a 3rd line C in a pinch. Blake Siebenaler and Nikolas Brouillard make it obvious that I've drafted way too many project offensive dmen over the years, but I think they both have a future as 3rd pair pp specialists some day... Just probably not on my team.

1. Alex Peters, D -- ANA 1st 2014, (27th overall)

2014-15 Norfolk Admirals AHL 48 0 4 4 22 -3
A really big defensive d-man, Peters has the potential to be a really tough d-man to play against. He will probably make the club next year, with some open space because of some lost in UFA. Already the Captain in Norfolk because of his leadership on the ice, Peters should be the next captain of the team when Zetterberg will retire.

2. Vladislav Kamenev, C/LW -- ANA 1st 2014, (28th overall)

2014-15 Norfolk Admirals AHL 48 0 4 4 22 -3
Kamenev is a pur Power Foward. He can scores goal, is good on checking and can hit. Doesn't have good stats this year in AHL, but he is getting beter since a month. We don't expect him to see him soon in NHL, he needs to get stronger. This will take time, but he will be a good 3rd line center.

3. Artur Lauta, RW -- ANA 3rd 2014, (82th overall)

2014-15 Norfolk Admirals AHL 42 32 16 48 12 -2
Artur is a surprise. we did'nt expect him to made the big club this year, but he just proves us that he was too dominant in AHL. He has some good assets that Anaheim needs in the nearly future. We are really happy of his game since he graduate in NHL.

2014-15 Norfolk Admirals AHL 48 1 8 9 12 6
Arvid is a good puckmover d-man, who is really responsible in the denfensive zone. We will probably see him play in NHL next year. His developpement going pretty well, he just need to be more stronger.

J.T. is a natural Two way foward. He will maybe gets some games this season on a 4th line. We like the way he played and developped this year. An other surprise for us. We didn't expect him from him.

Carolina Hurricanes

1 - D Jonathan Ismael-Diaby
drafted - 1st round 2013 (#23OA)

projection: defense-first top pairing dman
eta: mid 2015-16 season

while he's not the most imposing figure in the league just yet, that may be soon to change. Standing at 6'5, while Diaby has yet to develop his physical edge, he has the potential to be an absolute monster on the back end projecting to be one of the premier shut-down dmen in the league. And those that want to test his fighting skills may soon come to regret that as well. Simply put, while he's more of a complimentary dman then a pure #1, he's one hell of a compliment. With his leadership he's also captain material.

2 - LW/RW Kerby Rychel
drafted - 2nd round 2013 (#53OA)

projection: first line wing
eta: start of 2015-16 season

his stick handling won't ever be anything special and he's not exceptional defensively, he won't hurt in either regard and he projects to bring more then enough skill from a shooting and a playmaking standpoint to be able to slot in on the top line next to Eric Staal very soon.

3 - C/LW Shane Eiserman
drafted - 1st round 2014 (#26OA)

projection: third line center/second line winger
eta: start of 2015-16 season

while he'll never be described as elite, Eiserman's a big two-way centerman that loves to throw his weight around. With his development in Charlotte this past season he's close to ready for prime-time, and with his continued development in the coming pre-season he'll likely be ready for the #3 role as soon as the puck drops on the new season.

4 - D Nikolai Glukhov
drafted - 4th round 2013 (113OA)

projection: #1 defenseman
eta: 2016-17 season

highly inconsistent, that's about the only thing that lead to Nikolai falling as far as he did. He has all the tools to be one of the greats in this league. Elite playmaking vision? he has it; Big hits? he has it; positioning? he'll develop it. About the only things that he'll be sub-par in are his shot and his stickhandling, and those aren't deal breakers for a dman.

5 - RW/C Nicolas Magyar
drafted - 2nd round 2014 (50OA)

projection - PF wing/centerman
eta: 2017-18 season

the ultimate boom or bust prospect. If he hits his ceiling, and that's a big if, he has the ability to be a highly talented playmaker while having one of the best power games in the entire league. To compare him to a current roster player, it would be Brandon Sutter. That's high praise considering that Sutter is one of the best 2nd liners in the entire league and arguably could play first line on many teams. So what's the holdup? He needs everything to go right (IE: he's a pot booster).

hms: W Vladimir Tkachyov
drafted - 3rd round 2014 (80OA)

another good pot boost candidate, playmaker, more pure offense but capable defensively.

W Evgeni Zakurin
drafted - 3rd round 2013 (83OA)

I wish he was a little bit taller...

D Sebastien Moberg
drafted - 7th round 2014 (184OA - NYR)

wish he was a baller...
