Yep; contracts are handled after the playoffs, during the off-season.Tampa Bay GM wrote:I think this gets handled in the off-season.

Re: Minnesota Wild Extentions
An award has been determined in the Malcolm Subban arbitration case.
Terms: 3 years
GM comps & proposal: 2M; Pavelec, Helenius, Rask
Agent comps & proposal: 3.5M; Pavelec
Both sides made salient cases regarding Subban. He has great attributes, but questionable CON. He has great leadership for such a young player, but has yet to prove he can be a consistently high-performing starting goaltender.
Interesting that both sides used Pavelec as a comparable. The major differences between the two come down to age and leadership. That, and the fact that goalie salaries have not kept pace with those of regular skaters, and have not risen in proportion to the rising salary cap over the years. Subban certainly seems to be a cut above Pavelec and the other GM comps, but has not quite earned the higher agent-requested salary just yet. So I will split the difference, and reward Subban with 2.75M for 3 years.
Rob, you can accept/reject this award.

Re: Minnesota Wild Extentions
His past salary should've been $1.75M instead of $1.7M but, when entered into the calculator, both of them work out to $1.6M so it's all good.Rob_Wild wrote:not sure about the Hauf one. in the other threads vik said his salary should have been slightly higher, but in a follow up post said he checked them and it shouldn't affect the salaries. so I'm not sure why Hauf is working out lower.
